The Frankfurt-based SportsTech start-up not only provides the electromyography sensors but also trains the staff of the medical team in handling the specially developed analysis and training app. In addition, myoact co-founder and EMG specialist Simon Roth is available for direct professional exchange and ongoing close support of the medical and athletic department. “We are happy and proud that Eintracht Frankfurt places its trust in us and our product to support their players. We hope to have made a significant contribution to reducing muscle injuries in the future,” says Simon Roth, who, together with his co-founder Philipp Piroth, launched the EMG training program for sports physicians and athletic coaches in elite sports.
EMG as a Key Technology in Professional Sports
In the context of muscular injuries and the downtime caused by them, EMG represents an important factor in the analytical and therapeutic work of the athletic department. In addition, the analysis methods and biofeedback training sessions developed by myoact enable a comprehensive program for applications in pre-, mid-, and post-season environments. This way, myoact also supports the long-term development of muscular and athletic potential.
For Thomas Blobel (Analyst and Medical Performance Diagnostics), the flexible use of the system is particularly important: “We chose myoact because, unlike many other tools, it also offers standardised measurement protocols and analyses for individual muscles. This is especially helpful when introducing EMG, as it allows us to establish processes and achieve initial successes quickly. I believe the main advantage of myoact lies in the rapid mapping of individual muscles and its direct application in biofeedback training. This makes it not just a pure testing system but also something that can be actively used in training.”
Physiotherapist and rehab coach Lucas Trittel also sees advantages beyond pure analytical results, particularly for interdisciplinary communication between doctors, therapists, athletic coaches, and analysts: “It is important to me not to work only with subjective impressions but also to obtain measurable insights into muscle activity during movement. An initial impression can thus be quickly compared with additional data. The approach of myoact is especially helpful here, since there are fixed measurement protocols and the system can also be used during exercises with athletes. What matters to us is not to create a negative experience through tests and potential deficits, but rather to highlight the positive potential and the added value in the short, medium, and long term.” The myoact team is delighted about the successful initial phase of the cooperation and looks forward to writing many more success stories together with Eintracht Frankfurt.
